Learning & laughter

While writing posts on improving immunity, I wanted to share some valuable advice from other trusted sources. There's an interview with Sally Fallon, who works closely with the Western A Price Foundation. She speaks about the coronavirus and how we can deal with it, through food. It was refreshing to see some common sense used, instead of confusion around the coronavirus. There are some lessons to take from past pandemics.

And because we could use a bit of a laugh at the moment, I have another link from a parody of The Knacks, hit song, "My Sharona". This was done (quite well) by Chris Mann recently, called, "My Corona". He's also parodied different popular songs, on the same topic too.

  1. Chris, we grew up eating liver and being given a spoonful of cod liver oil regularly. I was very interesting lostening to Sally Fallon. Thanks for that.

    1. She's definitely a wise woman, with a wealth of knowledge about nutrition. I loved that she delved into what past generations have used successfully, pre antibiotics. Glad Sally is still with us, to talk on recent events and solutions.

    1. You're welcome, Tania. Sally is one particular lady, I'd love to have a natter with in person. She's the encyclopedia of nutrition. :)

  3. Finally got around to watching the Sally Fallon video, so thanks for posting it. She's good value and knows her stuff. I have her book 'Nourishing Traditions', but haven't opened it for ages. Must get back to it and get enthusiastic again. Am about to try fermented cucumbers with the excess from the garden. I've already done a dozen jars of dill pickles with vinegar but never tried to ferment them. They wouldn't stop producing and I was going to give them to the chooks. If it doesn't work and they go soggy, I will have only lost a bit if salt.

    1. You're so fortunate with your cucumbers, Bev. I've heard they haven't been successful for many gardeners this season, with powdery mildew. My mouse melons are taking ages to do anything, lol. I'm thinking maybe next spring I might get some! I plan to pickle mine too. Have fun experimenting in your kitchen. Sounds delicious.
