Some things just cannot be explained. Much like our avocado tree. Of all the fruits I saw at first, many dropped off. I was left with three remaining ones which grew even bigger. Then one disappeared. Now, another has fallen off!
I found it under the tree, in the vegetable patch yesterday. The last remaining fruit on the tree, seems to be all blotchy too. Maybe I won't hold my breath for that one either? But I was happy to see my sprouted from compost tree, at least attempting to fruit last year. It will give me hope for next spring.
Part of this gardening deal is, you don't really know what you're going to encounter in advance. You can read about it and put plans into action, but ultimately nature decides how your garden is going to grow. There are just too many variables to consider. But it satisfies my curiosity to see how I fit into nature, and how I can create new things from it.
I hope all your gardens grow well this year, even if you suffer a few set backs.
