Just a sneak-peek, at what I've been up to lately. A bit of wool, a crochet hook and some free patterns, made by some very clever people...
From head to toe
...and I have the makings of a wee birthday present - Amigurumi style. As if one was not enough, however, I had to go and make two! A pair of pixelated brothers. Can you guess who they are?
It's amazing what some people can do with a crochet hook. I'm just following their lead. Free patterns, are great like that. But I must confess to being a little addicted to crocheting now. ;)
Good old Mario bros - as a kid I loved playing mario on my cousin's nintendo box. We didn't have such modern toys, we were still playing on the atari in the 90s at my place! Hope the recipient enjoys such a unique little gift. Cheers, Laura
We purchased an atari (remake) last Christmas, which is great for youngsters, who cannot master some of the more complicated consoles. I quite like the simplicity of the games. I got to enjoy some good old, space invaders. It's ironic, because I tried playing my cousins' Donkey Kong game (also Nintendo, like Mario bros) as a youngster, and wasn't too fussed with it. Now if Mario Kart had been invented back then, it would probably be a different story, lol.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I love reading what you have to share. Gully Grove is a Spam free environment though, so new commenter’s only leaving hyperlinks, will be promptly composted.
I have no idea, Chris. Sounds very interesting though :-)
ReplyDeleteI guess it's a bit cryptic. I thought the title would give it away, for sure, lol. But I will reveal all, when I get them completed. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Mario and Luigi!
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo! Yes, you got it, Leigh. :)
DeleteI have no idea who they are going to be ... but how clever to be creating them with a crochet hook. The makings of a great gift. Meg:)
